An Introduction to the Enneagram – Are We Mind or Essence?
Using the Enneagram of Personality and its contemporary relevance in understanding the mind-spirit connection, we can deepen our understanding of what it means to be who we are and how we can enhance relationships. Self-introspection, developing the Inner Observer and growing compassion are some of the things that can be experienced by recognizing our personality as separate from Essence. Relying on the Enneagram as the basis of this workshop, we will explore self-observation from a neutral point. Meditation, individual and group work will support and allow us to see our personality as more clearly distinct from who we really are.
Interrupting our patterns we can slowly unwind the knots of automatic, self-judging behavior. The Enneagram takes love to a whole new level.
Workshop partcipants will learn:
- What the automatic habits of each type are and how they influence relationship
- How to transform our habits into Awareness using a combination of the wisdom of the Enneagram meditation, observation and compassion.

Enneagram & Dine: Introduction to the Enneagram with discussion and potluck dinner
Oakland Hills
Saturday, March 10 6:00-9:30
Saturday, April 14, 6:00-9:30
Saturday May 12 6:00-9:30
This salon style evening is a great way to find out what the Enneagram is and why it is a vital part of self awareness and growth. The Enneagram describes nine personality types or ego structures. While everyone is unique, during our journey from childhood to adulthood, we chose one of the nine styles as a way to manage the world. This style, our Enneagram type, effects emotion, thought and habit.
The Enneagram of Personality can help us deepen our understanding of what it means to be who we are and how we can enhance relationships. Becoming more aware of how we view the world, can help us make more informed choices of how to respond.
Come find out what Enneagram types are and where you might sit in this wise template of human nature. There will be a potluck dinner afterward.
Introductions are a suggested $10 donation and a vegetarian dish to share.
